Wetter Rotenburg an der Fulda is a town in the Hersfeld-Rotenburg district in northeastern Hesse, Germany. It is situated on the Fulda river, approx. 20 km southwest of Bad Hersfeld.
The town’s history dates back to the 8th century when it was first mentioned in a document. Wetter Rotenburg received its town charter in 1290. The town was an important center of trade and commerce in the Middle Ages and was a member of the Hanseatic League.
